Politics as money making machine
for corrupt businessmen
I recently heard that a
businessman has spent approx. Rs 100 Cr for becoming Member of Parliament in
Rajya Sabha. Is he doing so much of sacrifice for welfare of society? The
answer is off-course NO. He is doing this as business of making Rs 1000 Crore
from mere investment of Rs 100 crore in next 3-4 years.
I am not against
businessmen coming into politics but I am against them if they are coming in
politics through bribing politicians.
How this businessman who
spends Rs 100 Crore will make so much of money i.e how such high return is
possible?
Let me tell you how he will do this miracle:
Becoming MP
will give him opportunity to enter the politics through back door. All parties
needs huge sum of money to fight election and doing marketing. This MP coming
from business background will become star fund raiser from those businessmen
who want favour from government ( favour means land allocation at through away
prices, withdrawal of tax evasion charges, withdrawal of income tax notices etc).
This MP will
become liasoning agent between greedy businessmen and corrupt politicians. He
will put pressure on PSUs for risky loans for his near & dear.
He will pass on
vital future policy information to big corporates and in return he will get
suitcase full of money.
He will
influence appointment of top brass i.e Managing Director of PSUs, Vice
Chancellor in Universities, Secretary in ministries etc.
He will get
some success in appointing corrupt Babus in creamy postings. These Babus will
twist and tweak system to return favour.
He will
facilitate tender allocation with fix cut to him.
He will send
clear signal to police and authorities to stay away from him so that he can
continue his illegal activity of tax evasion, grain hoarding, illegal
construction etc.
Lot many
foreign companies wants to enter into Indian market but restriction in FDI
makes it difficult for them. These companies target such businessmen turned
Politician for intense lobbying. In return of lobbying politicians gets huge
money.
Our country is
growing very fast and urbanization is further increasing thus real estate
sector grows rapidly. In cities the connectivity (Road/Metro/Flyover/Bridge)
plays very important role in increase land prices of specific areas. These
people know master plan of city much in advance, they purchase properties in
those areas and after connectivity they sell those properties at multiple
rates.
As common citizen of India,
you might think that how all these things affect you. My simple answer to you
is that corruption done by anybody is attempted to stop facilities reaching to
you. Government is supposed to provide infrastructure, electricity, education,
jobs, security, justice and healthcare etc. Are you getting them in letter
& spirit? If No then who is eating away your share?
His every penny earned by
corrupt ways will push our country backward.
“Know to say NO to corrupt
system”
Awareness is biggest tool
to fight corruption.
Jai Hind.
